I have the same issue. We have three of these units and all of them freeze after 60-90 secs. I have upgraded the firmware on one but no change.
Without the network connection the unit does not freeze.
note: this only started AM on June 10, 2012. Before that all units worked fine.

I just started to get this myself. Shut down, boot up and about the time I can access the internal hard drive the unit freezes.

I blocked internet access for all three of our units and now they all work fine without freezing (thanks Davenest).
For further information to pinpoint the offending site(s) - our units worked fine until 11:00pm on June 9th we started to observe freezing around 2:00am June 10th when powered back on.

I am having the same problem & runs OK home network disconnected .
Can anyone tell me what the procedure is for blocking the internet connection at the router & still maintain the home network
without actually blocking internet connection for my PC.
Everything works OK on home network if I disable the NAT module function on the router but this also disconnects me from the internet as well.
I have a Belkin 4 port router & a wired LAN network.

Thanks in Advance.
Ted

An update on my last post.

I found a possible clue to solving the problem.
This was done with the home network connected to the internet.
If you go into the Nixeus Media player setup & select the 'Network Setup' - 'IP Setup' then
disable the DHCP, save the setting, return to the main index , shut down & reboot the unit
then return to the Network setup & enable the DHCP setting this tends to cure the problem.
This did work for me for awhile then the freezing came back!!!!!

Cheers

Ted

I am starting to have this same problem and tried everything suggested here; can someone who works for Nixeus look into this problem to see why our units are now freezing after powering up. This is the first time I have experienced problems with this new unit and honestly this unit has been working like a champ until this freezing issue. For some reason, this freezing issue started just two days ago and I can't watch or use this unit anymore until a resolution.

It would be nice to have my Fusion HD running again and I would love to hear about a fix.

Thanks!

I have the same issue, some staff will have to look into it, my unit is still under warranty

i got it half working with the blockage but when you listen to music the screen doesn't refresh every second its one refresh per 15 seconds but the music still works fine (flac).

this unit shouldn't "check home" that often, could be considered a privacy issue in my opinion

HI Everyone,

We became aware of this issue yesterday. Apparantly this issue affected a number of users at the EXACT same time. We are currently working on a fix. Thank-you to everyone that has figured a work around and for sharing their temporary solutions. We thank everyone for their patience.
