New Generation Gaming Consoles - Sony Playstation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X

The year 2020 is ending as an exciting time for gamers as both Sony and Microsoft will be shipping their new gaming consoles this November.  Sony will be shipping their new PlayStation 5 and Microsoft will be shipping a pair of Xbox consoles called the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. These next-gen consoles have a lot of great features and functions to offer that were normally exclusive to PC Gamers.

The next generation consoles from both Sony and Microsoft are equipped with AMD’s Zen 3 CPU Processors and Radeon RDNA2 Graphics to deliver high FPS, high refresh rates, higher video resolutions, and HDR color that are equal to what PC Gamers are experiencing today.

Microsoft Xbox claims the Xbox Series X is, “The fastest, most powerful Xbox ever.” The new Series X and Series S models produces up to 120 Frames Per Second and supports a native 120hz refresh rate. The fast refresh rate provides more smoother and responsive visuals, making it great for gaming. With an HDMI 2.1 output, the Xbox Series X can support True 4K gaming at up to 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution.  Utilizing a custom AMD RDNA2 graphics processor, the new Xbox Series support High Dynamic Range (HDR) for a better visual experience to give a realistic set of colors in an image, as one would see in real life. The Xbox Series S is Microsoft’s digital focused console that supports a native 2560 x 1440 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Without a Blue-Ray optical drive, the Series S is designed to utilize Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to stream or download games for you to play.  Microsoft released a long list of well-known video games that can be played in both the Series X and S consoles. The following are a few of the many new games Xbox new-gen consoles support: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Destiny 2, and Far Cry 6.
